Jigging for Cutthroat Trout at Bear Lake

Bear Lake is unlike any other water anywhere, with its interesting combination of fish. Cutthroat and lake trout become aggressive when the lake’s endemic cisco and whitefish spawn. Fishing success picks up as the water cools in the fall, often becomes excellent in late December and January, then settles back to very good in February.
